Covered In A Blanket of Snow ~
There was silence
in the snowfall...
And yet I could some what hear...
As I stopped and listened closely...
To the snowflakes falling near...
There was a chill in the night's air...
But I was not cold, in fact I felt quite warm...
A peaceful feeling... no despair...
In the comfort of the Winter storm...
I stood there in the silence...
Listening closely to the sounds...
Of the snowflakes falling gently...
To the ground and all around....

Lost In The Mountains ~
It was a land of
vast silent spaces, of lonely rivers, and of plains where the
wild game stared at the passing horseman. It was a land of
scattered ranches, of … long-horned cattle, and of reckless
riders who unmoved, looked in the eyes of life or death….

Colorado On My Mind ~
I always feel at
home here…
No matter how long I have been away…
The mountains always beckon me near…
And make me long to stay…
I have lived many places…
But none of them compare…
To your Rocky Mountain faces…
Or your dry, crisp, clean air…
If ever Heaven were on Earth…
This would have to be the place…
For nowhere else on this great Earth…
Could compare to your beauty, splendor, and grace…
Someday I shall return here…
It’s only a matter of time…
Colorado… I hold you forever near…
You own my heart… my soul… and my mind….

Etched On Vacant Places ~
When Christmas
bells are swinging above the fields of snow, we hear sweet
voices ringing from lands of long ago... And etched on vacant
places are half-forgotten faces, of friends we used to cherish,
and loves we used to know....
