It is the highest reward for me personally, when an image I take touches another's heart in some way, or stirs a special memory within their soul . . .  What a thrill to be able to create a keepsake of a treasured moment for another...."

LaWanda established her photography services in Central Florida as Candid Captures Photography in 2007. Her focus was on portraits and weddings, as well as working with local pageants and contestants for a variety of services in Pasco County.  She was also the photographer for the Miss Florida Pageant Orientation weekend in 2008.  Upon relocating to Northern California in the summer of 2008, she changed the business name to "Western Captures Photography".  This was to include the large variety of landscape images she was capturing of the "West", and to also tie into her "Country and Western Spirit", in addition to offering all of the portrait, events and other photography services.  Her images have appeared in various print media formats and recently she has expanded her services to include "Destination Photography".  In addition to her destination photography services, LaWanda now has two businesses.  In May of 2012, she opened a Gallery, Gift Shop, & Photo Studio along with Rick Fox, at 112 Main Street in Weed, CA. featuring a wonderful variety of fine art prints and gifts by several talented photographers and artists in California, Oregon, and Florida, as well as fly fishing supplies and instruction and outdoor gear.
