BIO...
Looking back
over my life so far, I would have to say that I’ve pretty much
always had a camera in hand and have enjoyed photography since
around the age of 13 years old. Soaking up all there was to see
around me, trying to find a way to capture things with a
perspective that might almost make the viewer feel as though
they were right there when looking at the image in print.
Now-a-days, I rarely leave my home without my camera in tow!
I truly enjoy
taking all varieties of portraits and I'm very drawn to
landscape and scenic photography. Weddings are an event
that I greatly look forward to, as I seek to capture the true
essence of that very special moment when two hearts are joined
as one.
It is the
highest reward for me personally, when an image I take touches
another's heart in some way or teleports them back in time to a
special place or memory, and what a thrill to be able to create
a keepsake of a treasured moment for another...."
LaWanda established her photography services in Central Florida
as Candid Captures Photography in 2007. Her focus was on
portraits and weddings, as well as working with local pageants
and contestants for a variety of services in Pasco County.
She was also the photographer for the Miss Florida Pageant
Orientation weekend in 2008. Upon relocating to Northern
California in the summer of 2008, she changed the business name
to "Western Captures Photography". This was to include the large variety
of landscapes images she was capturing of the "West", and to
also tie into her "Country and Western Spirit", in addition to
offering all of
the portrait, events and other photography services. Her
images have appeared in various print media formats and recently
she has expanded her services to include "Destination
Photography".
